There’s something truly magical about maternity sessions in San Francisco, and this evening at Pier 7 was no exception. Despite the winds rolling in off the bay, we worked quickly to capture the effortless elegance of this mom-to-be—and the results were simply breathtaking.

Dressed in a stunning Zimmermann gown, she exuded grace and confidence, making every frame feel sophisticated yet timeless. The soft glow of the city lights, the iconic pier backdrop, and the natural movement of the evening breeze all came together to create an unforgettable session.

This Marin Headlands maternity session was truly breathtaking. With sweeping coastal views and golden California light, it was the perfect setting to honor this special season of life. While the wind added a bit of a challenge (and it wasn’t the warmest day!), it only added to the magic—flowing dresses, windswept hair, and a sense of raw, natural beauty.

I spent a beautiful evening with this couple watching the sunset over San Francisco. Marin Headlands is such a magical place for a maternity session. We took a little hike down to a secluded beach with the most gorgeous views of the Golden Gate Bridge together. Our time together sure didn’t feel like work and more like a time spent with friends. I am blessed that I got to be part of their journey as their beginning of becoming a family of three!

Crissy Field makes such a beautiful location for family/ maternity portraits in San Francisco. I especially love shooting with toddlers there. So much safe space for them to run around and be playful.
