What kind of newborn photographer are you?

My newborn portrait sessions are lifestyle. What's that exactly mean? It's an organic and natural approach to documenting the emotinal connections between family members. Unlike posed newborn photography, lifestyle sessions are not just about the sleeping babies, curled and molded into baskets; but it's about the interactions and the love parents feel for their new arrival. These sessions are where you can really get a true sense of family in their home. So I capture away those details. From an intimate hug between the mother and the baby to a lovely crib hanging that got gifted from a family friend. Images from your session often tell a story your life.

What kind of family photographer are you?

I am a natural light, on location family photographer. My family sessions are lifestyle documentary style. While it is important to choose a time of the day that your child is happiest, keep in mind that for an outdoor session early morning light–just after sunrise–or late afternoon light–2 hours before sunset–is ideal.  If we are shooting indoors, we will choose a room that has ample sunlight filtering through.

Where will my session be held?

We can shoot in the comfort of your own home or an agreed upon outdoor location. Together we will choose the perfect location for your session. I have a list of San Francisco Bay Area locations that I can recommend but I am always open to new suggestions. Newborn sessions are held in your home.

When are newborn sessions done?

When you schedule a lifestyle newborn session, the sessions can take place anytime within 7 weeks after the baby is born. Because the sessions are focused on interaction, the baby does not need to be under 10 days old in order to ensure their sleepy, squishy bodies can maintain curled positions. I've had some of my favorite sessions with babies 4 weeks and older.

How long are the sessions?

My newborn portrait sessions can take anywhere from 1.5 hours to 2 hours. My shortest family portrait session is 1 hour.

What do i wear?!

Clothing is a key element for a beautiful, timeless portraits.I love skin-on-skin for intimate portraits. I recommend simple, classic apparel that reflex your style. Neutrals and creams with touches of pastels for a soft, gentle feel. I do love long flowing dresses for the mommies!

What if I want to get my make-up done for the shoot?

This is the PERFECT excuse to pamper yourself. Schedule yourself a mani/pedi, get your hair + make-up done. I have wonderful recommendations. I frequently work with talented Bay Area make-up artist Desiree Niegsch. Check out her website for more info at http://www.dezdoesmakeup.com

Do you photograph any weddings?

Yes! I love shooting weddings. I am currently working on building a whole seperate website for my wedding work but meanwhile you can check some of my work here. Just click on the weddings :)

Will I get digital files after the shoot?

Yes! Your sessions will include 35 edited high resolution digital files.

When and where can i order additional prints and products?

Within 2 to 3 weeks of your shoot,  you will receive a link to a private online gallery where you will have a few weeks to order additional products.

How do you choose what images end up in my gallery?

I look at each and every image I take at your session and hand select the best images. I am looking for images that represent me as an artist and your family.

How much does this all cost?

My newborn sessions are $800. My family & maternity sessions are $750. I require a %50 percent deposit upon booking.
